Lija Silins works as a multidisciplinary artist based in Stockholm. Her main expression is abstract paintings in inc and acrylic paint, often with spatial qualities. Lija is educated at Konstfack and has a bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and a Masters degree in Spatial Design. Besides her paintings she also works with sculpture and installations. The working method is spontaneous and intuitive with the interest to look into the relation between space, body and movement. The main focus is to explore the physical and philosophical body with the attraction to observe the internal and external self.
I work on a freelance basis with art and interior architecture. Work part time as consultant at architectural firms.
Born in Borås and based in Stockholm. Bachelor degree in interior architecture and furniture design and master degree in Spatial design from Konstfack (2012-2017). Studied art at Wroclaw Academy of art and design (2015). Artistic education at Hällefors Folkhögskola (2011-2012) and Product development with furniture design at Jönköpings högskola (2009-2011).
